Akasa Air Fleet
The Akasa Airline ordered 72 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft on 16th
November 2021 which was valued almost $9 billion in list prices at the Dubai
Airshow 2021. The order consists of variants of 737 MAX 8 (which is fourth
generation of Boeing 737) and 737 MAX 200 (which is the higher-capacity fourth
generation of the Boeing 737).
In addition to that, Akasa Airline has also partnered with
Griffin Global Asset Management for a sale-leaseback agreement. Their agreement
consists of five of their Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. Furthermore, on 16th June
2022, Akasa Airline took their first delivery of Boeing 737 Max 8.

Akasa Airline History
Initially, reports of Vinay Dube launching a new low-cost
carrier in India surfaced during March 2021. It was primarily reported that
Vinay Dube, who is the former CEO of Jet Airways and Go First, is planning to launch
a new cost-friendly airline in India along with former GoFirst Chief Commercial
Officer (CCO), Praveen Iyer as well as Nikhil Ved (Head of Flight Operations).
India’s renowned billionaire trader Rakesh Jhunjhunwala in
July 2021 invested $35 million in the carrier. This made him owns the majority
of airline with 40% stake in the company. Later, the Ministry of Civil Aviation
has given No Objection Certificate to Akasa Airline in October 2021.
After that, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala airlines unveiled its brand
identity and logo, along with a tagline ‘It's Your Sky.’ The symbol 'rising A' is
a part of their logo, and according to the airline it was inspired by elements
from the sky. Recently, on 7th July 2022, the Mumbai-based airline received its
Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and it is now expected to start its commercial
operation on 7th August 2022, Sunday.

2022. The uniform’s new and exceptional design was highly praised by others.
The Akasa Air uniform design is a fusion of modern and Indian designs. By
launching their uniform, Akasa Airlines has become the first ever airline to
introduce sneakers for cabin crew. Also, their sneakers are made up of recycled
rubber, which again set another record to be the first one to do so among any

bookings from today onward i.e., on July 22, 2022. Akasa Air Booking can be done

After completing the mandatory proving flights, the DGCA
